Overview
This new three-story high school was completed ahead of schedule and accommodates up to 2,750 students. The building was designed to have a collegiate feel with classroom space, informal meeting areas to facilitate project-based learning, a large outdoor courtyard, and a fine arts wing with an 800-seat auditorium and black box theater. The project sits on a tight site next to a major thoroughfare, and the new building was constructed while the existing facility remained operational.
Satterfield & Pontikes used our technology-driven process to optimize construction phasing. Our team determined the best sequence of Tiltwall panel pours and erection and tied the plan to the schedule. From that, we created a sequencing video for all trade partners and stakeholders to track construction activities.

“During construction the new 380,000 square foot tiltwall structure was built on the campus’s existing play fields while students and faculty continued to occupy the existing buildings. This created unique site logistics challenges to overcome throughout construction. Satterfield & Pontikes worked to provide a safe and controlled environment throughout construction ensuring hazards are kept to a minimum.”
