Overview

The LAX 2017 Delta Relocation Enabling Project was planned to allow the relocation of Delta Air Lines, Inc. from Terminals 5 & 6 to Terminals 2 & 3 in May of 2017. Additionally, the twenty-two (22) airlines occupying Terminals 2 & 3 were to be moved to Terminals 5 & 6 concurrent with Delta Air Lines, Inc. This was the largest airline relocation in aviation history.

The work described above required S&P to coordinate with multiple stakeholder and airport authority. Required upgrades and new additions to the existing BHS’s and did not interfere with Delta or Other Airline operations. Multiple critical path tie-ins were conducted to meet the May deadline. S&P was able to finish all critical path scope on or ahead of schedule while limiting change order cost to under 5% of total BHS contract value.
