Overview
The construction of a new 41,000 SF, two-story facility provides testing for controlled substances, toxicology, biology/DNA, firearms/toolmark and trace and photographic evidence. The lab also includes a vehicle investigation bay, evidence check-in station and a completely encapsulated indoor ballistics test-firing area. The facility is accredited through the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB) and is part of a laboratory’s quality assurance program. The lab also meets ASCLD/LAB International and ISO 17025 requirements.
In addition to the crime lab, Satterfield & Pontikes constructed a bio-evidence storage building, an 8,000 SF foot concrete structure with specialized security.
