Overview
The George Hotel is a full service, 162-room hotel that anchors the Century Square mixed-use development in College Station, Texas. Developed in partnership with the Valencia Group, The George provides a well-balanced, intimate lounge, restaurant and bar that spills out onto the outdoor plaza. While it embraces the region’s southern hospitality, the hotel offers a more abstract, contemporary, and forward-looking aesthetic. Its design is considered “Refined Rustic” and features a blend of hardwood floors, exposed ceilings, and brick accents in the interiors.
The wood frame hotel with structural steel support sits on a two-acre site and was constructed with brick and limestone exteriors with metal wall panels and a TPO membrane roof. The scope of work included construction of the hotel as well as selective demolition, concrete, masonry, thermal and moisture protection, earthwork, exterior improvements, and utilities.
