Overview

Fort Bend Epicenter is a state-of-the-art entertainment and sports complex. The ultramodern venue features a 10,400-seat arena with flexible, adjustable seating configurations and an adaptable event floor, allowing it to seamlessly transition between sports, concerts, and major public events. The open concourse design, VIP lounge, multi-use flex space, 20,000-square-foot conference center, and 34,500-square-foot outdoor pavilion are supported by extensive back-of-house amenities, including locker rooms, green rooms, concessions, and commercial kitchens. As the new home of the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo, Epicenter also hosts NCAA basketball tournaments, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo events, festivals, conferences, graduations, and community gatherings, while serving as a critical emergency operations and evacuation shelter during extreme weather events.

Delivered through a Public-Private Partnership (P3) contract, the project team leveraged cutting-edge 3D modeling and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance coordination, resolve conflicts, optimize scheduling, and mitigate cost and time impacts. With more than 400 tradesmen and nearly 40 subcontractors active on site at peak construction, the project reflects exceptional coordination and execution. Its success has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including the ABC Greater Houston EIC Excellence Award, AGC APEX Gold Award, AGC Baldwin Group Build America Award, and the Houston Business Journal Landmark Award for Community Impact—solidifying the Epicenter as a catalyst for economic growth and community engagement in Fort Bend County.
