S&P Takes Home Three Awards at National ABC Convention

Satterfield & Pontikes is honored to announce its reception of three prominent awards at the recent National ABC Convention 2023. S&P was awarded an Eagle Award for its exceptional work on Stratford High School, as well as a Pyramid award for its outstanding performance on the HCC Katy West Campus Expansion project. These awards were conferred in the “Institutional > $25 to $50 million” category, and they recognize the collective efforts of the construction team, including the contractor, owner, architect, and engineer. The winning projects were evaluated on various parameters, including complexity, aesthetic appeal, timely completion, innovation, and safety.

S&P was also honored to receive the Merit award at the National Safety Excellence Awards, which is a reflection of its unwavering commitment to safety in the construction industry. The awards were presented to ABC member firms that achieved Diamond, Platinum, or Gold status in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System in 2022, based on their safety performance data from 2021. The selection process involved a thorough assessment of the contractors’ self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable incident rates, leading indicator use, process and program innovations, and interviews conducted by members of ABC’s National Health and Safety Committee.

“We are very pleased to have received three prestigious awards during this year’s ABC Convention. The awards are a testament to the hard work, collaboration, and dedication of every member of the  team,” says John Marshall, S&P Chief Revenue Officer. “We look forward to continuing to deliver innovative and safe construction solutions to our clients.”
