S&P Named GC For New Oceans Behavioral Health Hospital

Satterfield & Pontikes (S&P) has been named General Contractor for a new behavioral hospital in Lubbock, TX being developed by New Era Partners, a nationally recognized healthcare real estate firm based in Grapevine, TX. The hospital will be operated by Oceans Healthcare, a leading provider of behavioral health services.

“This project adds to S&P’s growing momentum in construction healthcare,” says Jeff Brooks, S&P Vice President and lead of the company’s Healthcare Center of Excellence. “Importantly, we are carving out a recognized niche in the emerging ambulatory and outpatient sector.”

Construction has begun on the 25,878 square foot, 32-bed hospital which will serve the Lubbock area as well as the Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico. The single-story facility will provide quality outpatient and in-patient services primarily to adult and geriatric patients seeking mental health treatment.

Completion is estimated for 3Q 2022. Dallas, TX based architects Guide Architecture, LLC leads the design team for the project.
