S&P Joins Elgin ISD at Topping Out Ceremony

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P), alongside our partners at Elgin ISD (EISD), Pfluger Architects and LAN, recently celebrated a Topping Out ceremony for Trinity Ranch Elementary School. EISD Superintendent Dr. Jana Reuter, trustees Beth Waltersheidt, Jennifer Culver, and Pete Baga, and district faculty joined the project team to sign the final beam.

“We believe every single student in Elgin ISD deserves access to engaging and innovative educational experiences so that they have choice and opportunity for their future,” said Reuter. The new facility’s design includes an interior courtyard with outdoor learning spaces, media center, library, makerspace, art room, music room, and cafeteria.

Due to the rapid growth of Austin’s eastern suburbs, voters passed Elgin ISD’s $183 million bond to fund projects aimed at supporting district-wide growth and community-shared spaces. Trinity Ranch Elementary is the second elementary school funded by the bond that is being built by S&P. “We are honored to partner with Elgin ISD as they continue to invest in the growth of this amazing community,” said S&P Vice President of Education, Calen Shearer.

The project’s innovative designs are meant to increase the learning capabilities of students by including up-to-the-minute technology inside all classrooms. “Our signing of the beam signifies our commitment to education and to the future generations that these beams will support,” said EISD Board President Beth Waltersheidt.

The new 84,200 square foot school will be able to accommodate 800 students once it opens in the Fall of 2025.
