S&P Joins Elgin ISD at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) was proud to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Elgin ISD’s newest addition, Harvest Ridge Elementary School. The campus is the first project funded by the district’s 2021 bond which was passed to support district-wide growth for the rapidly growing community. Our S&P team proudly joined other members of the construction team from LAN and Pfluger Architects to celebrate the opening of the campus with members from the community and school district.
“This is a phenomenal time for our district, and we are ready to empower this next generation of learners,” said Elgin ISD’s Superintendent, Dr. Jana Rueter. She continued, “This incredibly innovative and engaging facility where our kids are going to be here to learn and to grow, this is the future of Elgin ISD.”
Harvest Ridge is the first school to be opened by the district in over 18 years. The campus, designed by Pfluger Architects, provides an innovative design that equips each classroom with up-to-the-minute technology to increase the learning capabilities of students. The campus also offers a music room, art room, library, cafeteria, gym, and outdoor learning spaces.
“I’m in complete awe of how beautiful the campus turned out,” stated Harvest Ridge’s Principal Meagan Wehrle. “It is my hope that our campus will always inspire students to learn and dream big.”
Harvest Ridge Elementary is now open to the 800 students it serves between Pre-K and 5th grade. Congratulations Elgin ISD on the opening of your beautiful new school!
