S&P Celebrates Groundbreaking of PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) proudly joined PAM Health, AlignSphere Ventures, DSC Architects, physician partners and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress, a project that will expand access to inpatient rehabilitation services for patients across Northwest Harris County. The ceremony marked a major milestone for the growing Cypress healthcare community.

“A groundbreaking marks the moment a vision begins to take shape,” said John Marshall, S&P Chief Revenue Officer. “This project is about creating a place where patients can heal, recover and regain independence close to home.”

Located at 22203 Cypresswood Drive, the new 62,200 square-foot rehabilitation hospital will feature 52 patient beds and provide specialized rehabilitation services for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic procedures and other medically complex conditions. The two-story facility is designed to support a comprehensive continuum of care, with the first floor housing administrative offices, a pharmacy, laboratory, dialysis services, physical therapy and other essential support functions. The second floor will feature patient rooms with private bathrooms, creating a comfortable and healing environment for recovery.

“Today’s groundbreaking represents an investment in the future health of the Cypress community,” said Jason Carter, Executive Vice President and President of Optimization for PAM Health. “This hospital will deliver specialized rehabilitation care that helps individuals regain independence, restore function and achieve the best possible outcomes close to home.”
The project is part of a broader vision for expanding healthcare services in Cypress and meeting the needs of one of the region’s fastest-growing communities.

“What makes today so meaningful is seeing a long-term vision become reality,” said Dr. Michael Keller. “As Cypress continues to grow, so does the need for accessible, high-quality healthcare. The addition of PAM Health represents an important step in building a healthcare campus that serves patients and families through every stage of care.”
Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
