Nora’s Home Receives Check at 10th Anniversary Celebration

A decade of care and fellowship. A decade of compassion and transformation. A decade of safe harbor and “home away from home.” For the past ten years, Nora’s Home has supported transplant patients from 38 states and 5 countries with an affordable place to stay as they undergo their medical procedure at the Texas Medical Center. 

On October 20th, 240 golfers came together and teed off for a cause at Wildcat Golf Course for the 10th Annual Nora’s Home Golf Classic. It was a record-breaking year and between the golfers, raffle, putting contest, and auction items, an amazing $191,667 was raised.  

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) was the proud presenting sponsor at the tournament and had the privilege of presenting the check to Nora’s Home as the recent Nora’s Home celebration. Attending such a historic event, S&P representatives John Marshall, Nic Flannery, and Caitlin Keller presented the Golf Classic check to Natalie Lencioni, Executive Director. Over the past decade, Nora’s Home Golf Classic has raised $963,967 for the facility, affording over 12,853-night stays for transplant families. 

As an additional commemoration for this historic anniversary, cornerstone bricks have been added to Nora’s Home. S&P is grateful for the 10 wonderful years of partnership with Nora’s Home and to have been given the honor of a cornerstone at the front entryway to the home. Here’s to 10 more years and beyond!
