Clay E. Morel has been named President of Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. As president, Morel is responsible for spearheading the company and its subsidiaries’ growth, streamlining operations and implementing new technologies to improve construction industry standards.
George A. Pontikes, Jr., Satterfield & Pontikes’ founder and former president, will continue in his roles as CEO and Chairman of the Board. “I am confident that Clay can lead S&P into an era of strategic growth based on focused opportunities,” said Pontikes. “He is known for taking a comprehensive approach to business, focusing on market growth and people development. He recognizes that companies are successful if their people are successful.”
Morel has more than 40 years of experience leading domestic and international service companies, including serving as President and CEO of Attero, Inc. a leading HR services firm. In addition, Morel has served as the COO of an international software firm and serves on several boards of directors, including the Board of Satterfield & Pontikes. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Assemble Systems, a construction software company founded by S&P, where he largely negotiated for its successful sale to AutoDesk in 2018. The technology has since become an industry standard.
