Breaking New Ground at Highland Hills Elementary
Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) was honored to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony for San Antonio ISD’s Highland Hills Elementary. Team members joined Huckabee Architects, San Antonio ISD board members, staff, and community members to celebrate the beginning of construction on the planned additions to the campus.
“This groundbreaking represents growth, progress, and a shared belief that our students deserve spaces that inspire learning, creativity, and true connection,” said Highland Hills Principal Vanessa Cartwright. Highlighting the impact of the planned changes, she added, “This new facility will not only be a place for education. It will be a place where young minds are nurtured, talents are discovered, and futures are shaped.”
The planned improvements for the campus are extensive. Upgrades include new classrooms and science labs, a modern cafeteria and kitchen, a refreshed main office and entrance, window replacements, improved mechanical systems, new parking lots and driveways, and an updated playground. The campus will also receive security and technology enhancements, in line with improvements across all SAISD schools.
S&P’s Director of Operations, Triff Doming, added, “At S&P, we believe that projects build the future, but people make the difference. And together with SAISD, Huckabee, and our trade partners, we’re excited to deliver a campus the community can be proud of.”
S&P is proud to partner with SAISD and project stakeholders to deliver a facility that supports academic achievement and community growth. The team looks forward to bringing this vision to life and building a brighter future for Highland Hills Elementary!
