Beam Signing Marks Major Milestone for North Shore Senior High Multi-Use Facility

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P), alongside students, staff, and district leaders from Galena Park ISD, celebrated a major construction milestone with the beam signing and topping out ceremony for the new North Shore Senior High School Multi-Use Facility. This highly anticipated facility will support one of the state’s premier athletic programs, with North Shore regularly competing at the highest levels of Texas high school football.

Located next to the District Stadium, this 94,454 square foot athletics project will expand training capacity and enhance the overall student-athlete experience. The development includes a new indoor practice facility featuring a 120-yard field.

The project also includes significant upgrades to existing infrastructure, including a new 40-foot-wide high-volume weight room addition, site and pavement improvements, relocation of the band practice field, and upgrades to fire protection and domestic water systems.

The beam signing ceremony brought together students and staff from across North Shore’s athletic and extracurricular programs. Members of the football team, band, cheerleaders, Scarlets and athletic training program paused their daily activities to take part in the event.

S&P extends its appreciation to Galena Park Independent School District, VLK Architects, trade partners, and the construction team for their dedication and collaboration to get us to this milestone.

Substantial completion is scheduled for Fall 2027.
