LaGuardia Airport’s Terminals C and D, originally constructed in 1992 and 1983 respectively, were redeveloped by Delta Air Lines as part of a larger Port Authority of New York and New Jersey improvement program, replacing the aging terminals with a reimagined Terminal C unified with Terminal B and Central Hall. S&P’s team provided professional services for Delta on this $4 billion program, which included a new 37-gate headhouse and four-concourse facility, airfield reconfiguration to accommodate Delta’s fleet, replacement of jet bridges, new taxi lanes, bridgework, and a roadway deck.

The LEED Silver certified terminal reimagines the passenger journey with state-of-the-art technology, expedited screening, expanded amenities, and the largest Delta Sky Club in the system. The project was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget through a collaborative approach and innovative construction management, reflecting the dedication and expertise of the entire team and marking a milestone in the transformation of one of the nation’s busiest airports.
