S&P Attends Boudny Elementary School Dedication
Satterfield and Pontikes (S&P) was thrilled to attend the dedication of the Alfred and Ann Boudny Elementary School, Katy ISD’s 47th elementary school. The ceremony honored Alfred and Ann’s combined 75 years of service to public education and their continued commitment to the district.
The dedication ceremony brought together school leaders, community members, district and elected officials to mark this exciting celebration.
The event featured student performances from the orchestra and choir. Speakers remarked on the Boudny’s service and commitment to education. “It is an honor to stand before you today as we dedicate Alfred and Ann Boudny Elementary,” said Principal Felicia Ashabranner. “A campus built not only with bricks, but with vision, heart and hope for the future.”
The two-story structure is designed to serve up to 1,280 students, with first and second grade sharing the first floor and the upper grades on the second floor. Each grade level has its own learning spaces with integrated technology to encourage collaborative learning.
The 167,000 square-foot campus features a dedicated “learning stairs” space where students may go for study or collaboration. With extracurricular offerings such as choir, arts and athletics, the cafeteria includes walls that open and close to accommodate a variety of events. Home of the Bucks, the courtyard near the school entrance features a family of deer, gifted to the school by namesakes Alfred and Ann Boudny.
S&P is proud to have partnered with Katy ISD and VLK Architects to deliver this trailblazing campus.
