Strategic Leadership Announcement – Cam Thrutchley Joins as VP of Mission Critical

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cam Thrutchley as Vice President of Mission Critical; a key leadership role focused on one of the fastest-growing sectors in the construction industry.

Thrutchley will lead the continued development and expansion of S&P’s Mission Critical market sector, positioning the company for growth in what is projected to be the hottest construction growth market in the United States through 2030. This initiative represents a strategic priority for S&P as we continue to diversify our portfolio and strengthen our presence in high-demand sectors such as data centers and advanced technology infrastructure.

“Cam brought us a clear vision for growth,” said Nic Flannery, S&P President. “He worked closely with our executive team to shape a strategic roadmap for Mission Critical, and it quickly became clear that he understood both the market and our company. We were so impressed with his approach and leadership that we offered him the opportunity to take the plan and lead its execution. We’re excited about what’s ahead and confident that Cam’s leadership will help position S&P as a national force in this space.”

Thrutchley brings more than three decades of experience driving growth, building strategic client and partner relationships, growing high-performing teams, and leading complex initiatives across global markets. He has successfully scaled business development organizations, launched new market strategies, and secured multi-billion-dollar projects by aligning operational execution with client priorities. His background includes leading globally distributed teams, developing go-to-market strategies for emerging sectors, and negotiating strategic partnerships that delivered measurable growth.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Thrutchley has a strong record of community impact. He currently sits on the executive committee of Young Life in Texas, where he led the largest fundraising campaign in the organization’s 84-year history. The campaign raised $75 million to purchase a camp in Texas, expand its reach and transform kids’ lives for generations to come.

“I love investing in great people to build great teams to accomplish big dreams,” said Thrutchley . “At this point in my career, I’m focused on helping others succeed and building their legacies. What drew me to S&P was the opportunity to help take a company with a rich legacy and strong culture from good to great, alongside leaders like George and Nic who are committed to taking the company to the next level. S&P is a billion-dollar company perfectly positioned to help clients succeed today in the Mission Critical construction space, and I’m energized by the culture, the vision, and the chance to be part of a leadership team that’s shaping the future of construction in Texas and beyond.”

Thrutchley holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering, and a Certificate in Creating and Managing Strategic Alliances from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.

Please join us in welcoming Cam Thrutchley to S&P.
