Overview
Marathon Oil, a major U.S.-based energy company, selected Satterfield & Pontikes Construction to lead the construction of a new administration building at their Garyville location. Part of the $3.9 billion Garyville major expansion, the building is a state-of-the-art office complex complementing the newest, most advanced refinery in the United States. The two-story structure features a steel frame and brick facade. The building houses the new Emergency Operations Center, a state-of-the-art facility coordinating security and emergency operations response both internally and with outside agencies. The building serves as the new headquarters for the administration and staff. S&P closely coordinated scheduling with the Owner and other contractors working on other projects at the facility to reduce disruption; The S&P team also led weekly meetings with the owner and other members of the project team to maintain close coordination
