Overview
Kids’ Meals, a nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood hunger, engaged S&P to help transform a five acre former industrial site into a 50,000 square foot, purpose built campus designed to support growth and operational efficiency. The tilt wall facility unifies food storage, meal preparation, volunteer operations, and administrative offices in one centralized location. The campus features an 11,700 square foot warehouse with five tier storage racks, multiple loading docks, and five volunteer bays capable of accommodating up to 200 volunteers at a time.
Approximately 8,000 square feet of two story office space includes a welcome center, administrative offices, open workstations, and education and conference rooms. Designed to support Kids’ Meals’ core mission of food preparation and distribution while fostering community engagement, the new campus significantly increases daily meal production and positions the organization to expand its reach—ensuring healthy meals continue to reach food insecure children across Houston. The project was recognized with a 2026 Houston Business Journal Landmark Award for Best Headquarters Move, celebrating its impact, quality, and organizational transformation.
